Prepare your new yard
Before you have the tree removed and transported, you will need to prepare your own soil for the tree. The soil must have the appropriate amount of nitrogen and the proper pH level in order to support growing trees and shrubs. Smaller trees do not have to be moved with the ball root in place. Large trees that are over several feet are recommended to be removed with the ball root.
